What is an IP PBX?

An IP PBX is a complete telephony system that provides telephone calls over IP data networks. All conversations are sent as data packets over the network.

The technology includes advanced communication features but also provides a significant dose of worry-free scalability and robustness that all enterprises seek. The IP PBX is also able to connect to traditional PSTN lines via an optional gateway - so upgrading day-to-day business communication to this most advanced voice and data network is a breeze!

The major difference between Voice mail and Hosted PBX Unified Messaging is that Standard voice mail is hosted and accessed verbally through the phone keys and Unified Messaging allows anyone to access voice messages and send voice mail through e-mails.

Employees can see who called them and listen to their voice messages on their PC via outlook. Our business PBX system is built with redundant network servers and redundant internet and power in hardened carrier quality colocation facilities. Our redundancy is always high as we create two switching centers that are fully redundnant and mirrored, so that for any reason if one goes down for few seconds or minutes, will not bring our hosted PBX system down. If a customer has a Firewall our multiple approaches for delivering PBX software operates outside the firewall and can utilize a Network Address Translation (NAT) that only allows voice calls to the specific Ip Address through the firewall. With "Voicemail-to-Email" a copy of every voicemail message is sent to an email address you specify.
